Funding & Financial Support
The SEAMS School 2026 receives financial support from the Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (CIMPA).
All participants are eligible to apply for financial support, subject to the terms and conditions defined by CIMPA. CIMPA funding is primarily intended to support young mathematicians (aged 36 or below, or within five years of Ph.D. completion) from the host country and neighboring developing countries. In accordance with CIMPA guidelines, at least two-thirds of the CIMPA support is allocated to travel and living expenses of eligible participants.
The remaining portion of CIMPA funding may be used to support lecturers who deliver a minimum of six hours of pedagogical activities, as well as essential academic logistics such as accommodation, meals, and coffee breaks. Honoraria and registration fees are not covered by CIMPA funding.
Financial support is provided on a reimbursement basis, subject to the availability of funds and the submission of valid supporting documents. The final decision regarding the allocation of financial support rests with CIMPA.
Detailed eligibility criteria, required documents, and application procedures are provided in the Registration Form, which all applicants are advised to review carefully.
Additional support from SEAMS contributes to strengthening academic activities and broadening participation in the school.
